PLOT TO DESTROY SERVICES
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received January 17, 9.0 p.m.) LONDON, January 17. The “Daily Mail” says the authorities discovered and speedily foiled the German Intelligence Service’s plot to destroy public works, bridges and railways in Britain. They have circulated a secret document to all railway chiefs warning them of the plotters’ methods and outlining defensive measures. Britain’s 600,000 railway workers are enrolling in an anti-spy system.
