OLD MAN’S FATE
i I “HE WOULD LIVE ALONE” 1 Found dead in the cellar of a large I bouse, in which he lived alone, a Lon--1 doner. Joseph Henry Kirner. aged 91, of Islington, was the subject of an inj quest at St. Pancras. at which a ver- ( diet of accidental death was recorded. ' Sir Bernard Spilsbury attributed death to a clot of blood, which probably I caused Kirner to fall down the cellar steps and receive fatal injuries. It was stated there were four or five inches of water in the cellar, the bottom step was broken, and the wood had rotted. The Rev. Percy John Henry Kirner. of Stranton Vicarage. West Hartlepool, son of the dead man, said his father insisted on living alone, although he 1 had repeatedly asked him not to do so.
