STUD RAM SALE A ROMNEY SELLS 380GNS By Telegraph—Press Association MASTERTON, January 17 Although bidding on the whole was slow, the sale of stud Southdown and Romneys to-day was a good one for class animals as evidenced by the 380gns, claimed to be the highest price paid in an auction ring in New Zealand for a stud Romney ram. received by the estate of the late Quentin Donald, the purchaser being Mr J. C. Best, of Hawera. Another high figure for a Romney was 220gns paid by Mr A. T. Hunter, of Wanganui, for a ram offered on account of Sir William Perry. who also received 200gns for another ram, the purchaser being Mr A. Grant, Waimate. The highest price for a Southdown was lOOgns, the vendor being Sir William Perry and the buyer Mr C. E. Vile, of Bulls. ,
