SHEAF TOSSING RECORD About 5000 people, the full capacity of the mounds around the woodchopping arena at Sydney, saw S. F. Tonzing win the sheaf-tossing competition recently. He threw the sheaf over the bar at 49 feet, and his handicap of three feet made the height 52 feet. G. R. Schwerdt and T. F. Schwerdt, world’s champion and former world’s champion respectively, tied for second place at 50 feet.
