GERMANY DEEFLY PENETRATED

United Press Association —Bv Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Received January 15. 6.30 p.m.) BERLIN, January 14. The Official News Agency admits that British ’planes deeply penetrated Greater Germany on January 12, but contends that the exploit was ineffectual because it was nocturnal. It adds: “The ’planes did not reach Bratislava. They turned back far west of Prague and Vienna, for which reason the anti-aircraft guns did not fire, though ground observers followed the course throughout. The flight was not comparable with the German day flights over Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, the Shetlands, Orkneys and Scotland.”
