TWO HOURS LATE
RANGATIRA HAS STORMY PASSAGE Bv Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, December 28. Six hundred passengers aboard the inter-island steamer Rangatira had a rough passage in the crossing from Wellington to Lyttelton last night. Encountering a southerly storm just after leaving Wellington, the Rangatira made slow progress in the heavy seas to arrive at Lyttelton almost two hours behind the scheduled time of 6.20 a.m. All train services this morning were delayed in consequence. The south express was held back 45 minutes, the relief express 20 minutes, and the Hundalee express an hour, waiting for passengers.
