DROP IN EXPORTS
America Feeling Effects Of War United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph —Copyright WASHINGTON, December 15. The value of November exports was 287,063,000 dollars which is 30,000,000 dollars or approximately 11 per cent, under the value in October giving the first indication in spite of war material buying that the war is adversely affecting America. The biggest losses were on cotton, foodstuffs, and tobacco. The increased exports of aircraft and metals barely offset the losses on chemicals, tractors and industrial machinery. The import figures are expected to show a decline. It is estimated that 100.000,000 dollars in customs receipts will be lost this fiscal year.
