WOOLWORTHS (N.Z.), LTD. ANNUAL MEETING OP SHARTHOLDERS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, December 13. At the annual meeting of Woolworths (New Zealand), Ltd., the chairman, Mr C. Scott Waine told shareholders that the proposal to create a separate company to be known as Woolworths New Zealand Properties, Limited, had been abandoned indefinitely owing to developments in New Zealand’s financial position. He added that the company had experienced difficult trading conditions owing to New Zealand’s restrictions on imports. Nevertheless, results had been very gratifying. The current year would be probably still more difficult owing to the impossibility of replacing many bversea lines.
