NAZI PARTY TROUBLES
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Received November 21, 11.36 p.m.) NEW YORK, November 21. Telephoning from Amsterdam, Mr Beach Conger, the correspondent of the “New York Herald Tribune,” said the lack of action on the Western Front was puzzling Germans, who dare not ask questions. Before he left Germany he was told that von Brauchitsch had offered his resignation, but Hitler refused to accept it. The army includes practical gentlemen who are considering all possible contingencies, but party officials seem to have sold the idea of pressing forward to the announced destruction of the British Empire. Apparently it is only a question of time before the party army wins a dominant position.
