Wrestling of a lively nature was provided by the all professional programme staged at the Town Hall. in his bout with Batros Pasha. George O’Brien was disqualified when his second threw his towel round the Turk’s neck in a effort to restrain Pasha after the gong had sounded for the end of the fourth round. Each man had previously secured a fall. Jack Clark defeated Tiger Atkins, the latter being unable to continue after being back slammed in the third round. Atkins secured a fall in the second round.
