The Washington correspondent of the "New York Times" says that White House pointed out that the invitation to officers of the Inter-Governmental Committee for Refugees from Germany to meet at Washington, was extended upon the Committee's request. It was felt that it would afford President Roosevelt an opportunity to signalise his intense interest in German refugees and the efforts being made to find homes for them.
