ASSISTED ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
British Police Inspector Fined United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Received June 22, 11.40 p.m.) JERUSALEM, June 22. A British Police Inspector, Henry Goddard, was bound over for two years in a bond of £4OO on 30 charges of assisting illegal immigration. Goddard, who was attached to the coastal patrol, is described as a brain trust of the ring responsible for smuggling in thousands of Jews for which he was bribed.
