Dr. Willoughby Rogers: ‘Tobacco is a very useful sedative. It rests the brain and prevents the human machine from over-working. It steadies the nerves.”
Sir Bruce Porter: ‘Tobacco is an extreme comfort to a great many, and old people should not be afraid to enjoy one of the few pleasures remaining to people of advanced years.”
