AIR SERVICE

REQUESTS FROM BLENHEIM By Telegraph—Press Association BLENHEIM. June 22. In view of a fact that the Blenheim airport in 12 months handled more than 21,000 passengers, compared with 27,500 at Wellington, and 9500 at Nelson, the Chamber of Commerce decided to make representations to the Transport Department and the Cook Strait Airways for an amended timetable, making an earlier departure for a later return from Wellington. It was also decided to request that a 'plane be housed at Blenheim, ensuring minimum interruption of tire service on account of unsuitable flying conditions on oilier parts of the route.
