Lancashire Derbyshire—First innings, 356 (Worthington 101, Townsend 92). Lancashire—First innings, 267 for seven (Paynter 98). The match was drawn. Glamorgan v. Kent Glamorgan—First innings, 217 (Watt four for 25); second innings, 118 (Wright five for 51). Kent —First innings, 248 (Fagg 82); second innings, 88 for one. Kent won by nine wickets. Northants v. Middlesex Northants —First innings, 222 (Sims seven for 79); second innings, 342 for nine declared. (Timms 120 not out). Middlesex —First innings, 280 (Edrich 81); second innings, 288 for three (Robertson 144. Compton 111 not out). Middlesex won by seven wickets. Yorkshire v. Notts Yorkshire—First innings, 244 (Sutcliffe 71, Barbel- 72); second innings, 108 (Jepson six for 27). Notts—First innings, 120 (Bowes five for 29); second innings, 3 for four. x Yorkshire won on the first innings. Sussex v. Gloucestershire Sussex—First innings, 225; second innings, 124 (Goddard five for 53, Scott four for 25). Gloucestershire—First innings, 191 (Crapp 89 not out), second innings, 162 for six (Hopkins 83 not out). Gloucestershire won by four wickets. Worcestershire v. Warwickshire Worcestershire—First innings, 271 (Lyttelton 81; Mayer six for 86); second innings, 153 (Mayer five for 69). Warwickshire First innings, 246 (Perks six for 55); second innings, 70 for one. Worcestershire won on the first innings. Somerset v. Oxford Somerset—First innings, 226 (Longrigg 82; Hayward six for 79); second innings, 257 (Evans four for 27). West Indies-Leicester Match Drawn The match between West Indies and Leicestershire was drawn. West Indies in their first innings made 182, and in their second innings had mad 314 for eight (Weeks 62), .’hen rain stopped Play. Against Lincolnshire In their first innings against the West Indies, Lincolnshire made 120 (Constantine, eight for 30). West Indies made 363 in their first innings (Jeff Stollmeyer 100, Grant 94). Hodgkinson took four for 59. M.C.C. v. Cambridge The M.C.C. v. Cambridge match was also drawn. Cambridge in their first innings made 197, and in their second had lost six for 133, when rain stopped play. M.C.C. made 206 and 193.
