ORDER SOUGHT
EXTRADITION OF “GENERAL” RUSSELL
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright Independent Cable Service (Received May 31, 9.20 p.m.) DUBLIN, May 31. Scotland Yard is applying for the extradition of “General” Sean Russell, chief staff officer of the Irish Republican Army, who is visiting the United States to obtain moral and financial support for the Irish to continue the fight for independence. The United States authorities were contemplating deportation when they received the request for extradition. If this is granted, “General” Russell will be tried in England.
