INTERNAL LOAN OF £4,500,000 By Telegraph —Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, May 31. The £4,500,000 loan flc ’:d by the Government has been fully subscribed. The announcement of the success of the flotation was made Uns evening by the Prime Minister, who said he had received a br’-f message from the Governor of the Reserve Bank to the effect that the full subscription had been made. The Prime Minister was unable to give full details of the reception of the loan by investors, “because,” he explained, “the issue had closed only this day an hour or so ago. It might be a day or two before details are available, and a further statement will be made then.” DUNEDIN’S EXPERIENCE By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, May 31. Within 48 hours of the subscription lists being opened, the City Council’s loan of £35,900 was applied for in full, while another loan of £10.500 is expected to close this afternoon.
