FIJIANS NOT COMING By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. May 31. A tour ol New Zealand by a Fijian Rugby team this year, which has been contemplated will not take place. The executive of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night received advice from the Fijian Rugby Union that because of Government conditions the tour would have to be abandoned. The Fiji Union advised that the Fiji Government had stipulated that the Fijian team, if it visited the Dominion, would only be allowed to remain in the country for a fortnight and desired it to play matches preferably against Maori teams. These conditions were not considered acceptable by the New Zealand Union and the tour was declared off.
