GERALDINE LIBRARY BOOK STALL
SIXTY-EIGHT BUNDLES SOLD The funds of the Geraldine Public Library will benefit by £1 14/- as a result of a book stall held in Geraldine yesterday, which was well patronised by the public. Those who took charge of the stall at different periods of the day were: Mesdames L. S. R. King, A. J. Burmester and F. W. Morgan. GIFT EVENING MISS G. REID HONOURED In the event of her approaching marriage, Miss Geraldine Reid was the guest of honour at a combined gift evening given by residents of Beautiful Valley and neighbouring districts in the Skipton School. The first part of the evening was devoted to euchre, the winners being Mrs Gudex and Mrs J. Scarlett. Dancing was held to music supplied by Misses Cameron and Gudex. Messrs Cameron, Gould, and E. Maxwell. Mr W. Gudex, in presenting the gifts to Miss Reid, eulogised her many fine qualities. Under the auspices of the Geraldine Football Club, a benefit dance for Mr H. Worner, who had the misfortune to break a leg in the match against Zingari, will be held in the Pleasant Point Hall on Saturday, July 1.
