WEATHER SOUTH CANTERBURY FORECAST
FAIR TO FINE Special to " The Timaru Herald ' WELLINGTON. May 31. Winds—Light to moderate and variable winds, north-easterlies predominating on the coast during the day. Weather—Fair to fine with some frosts and morning fogs, but moderate day temperatures. Seas—slight to moderate. DOMINION FORECAST General Situation An anti-cyclone still covers the Eastern Tasman Sea and New Zealand. Forecast Winds—Light to moderate and variable with southerlies predominating at first. Seas (New Zealand waters)—Rather rough at times in the far south, elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea—Light to moderate and variable winds with east to north predominating; seas light to moderate. Weather—An isolated shower or two on the east coast of the North Island and in the far south, otherwise fair to fine; moderate day but cold night temperatures with some frosts and morning fogs.
