MILL DESTROYED
EARLY MORNING BLAZI Bv felegrßnh Prew Acsoriatinr AUCKLAND. April 19. Messrs C. and A. Odlin's log sawmill at Glen Eden was destroyed by fire in the early hours of this morning. The building was 100 feet square :nd contained 30.000 feet of sawn tin.'oer. a portion of which was kauri on o~der to London. The loss L estimated -t £2OOO and £l3OO is coveied by insurance. Three-quarters of a million feet of timber in the yard was saved by the strenuous efforts of a bucket brigade. The mill had a capacity of 10.000 feet daily. Fourteen men were employed. but the owners say that they intend to rebuild immediately ano will keep the employees in work as tar as possible.
