SHIPPING PORT OF TIMARU

Port Wyndham Due

To-day

There was comparatively little activity at the Port of Timaru yesterday. The Karu, which arrived on Tuesday night, sailed for Lyttelton, after loading for Welling’ n, Nelson and New Plymouth. The Waipiata arrived from Oamaru to load for Wellington and Auckland and will leave to-day for Lyttelton. The Port Wyndham, which left Auckland at 9.15 on Tuesday night is expected to arrive about 8 o’clock to-night to load meat and general cargo. She will sail on Monday for Wellington and Port Chalmers, leaving the last mentioned port on May 5 for Dunkirk, London and Hamburg. The Wainui is due tomorrow from Oamaru to load for Wellington, Gisborne and Napier via Lyttelton, and the Waipori is now expected to load for Sydney, via Lyttelton. The Breeze is also due to-day from Oamaru to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, via Lyttelton.

The Waiana, from Dunedin, is expected on April 30 to load for Wellington and Auckland, via Lyttelton. The Holmlea, from Dunedin, is due to-morrow to load for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato Heads. The Holmglen is due from Dunedin on Thursday, to load for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato Heads, vi- Lyttelton. The Port Waikato, from Dunedin, is due on Thursday 26 to load for Auckland, via Wellington. The Port Whangarei, from Dunedin, is expected on Thursday, 27, to load for Tauranga, Auckland, and Whangarei, via Lyttelton. Port Townsville Earlier The Port Line motor ship Port Townsville is now expected at Port Chalmers on Sunday to complete her Homeward loading. Taranaki Clears Balboa Cable advice has been received by the Shaw Savill Company that its motor vessel Taranaki, en route from Liverpool via Kingston to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Timaru, and Oamaru, cleared Balboa on April 12. She is due at Auckland on May 2. Hertford Reports The New Zealand Shipping Company has received a wireless message from the Hertford, en route from Glasgow and Liverpool, repoiting that she expects to reach Auckland at 6 a.m. today. She will later complete discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Arawa’s “All Well” The Shaw Savill Company has received a wireless message from its liner Arawa reporting that she left Pitcairn Island at 8 p.m. last Friday, after having experienced strong head winds since leaving Wellington—all well on board. The Arawa left Wellington on April 6 .'or Southampton and London via the Panama Canal. Pakeha Clears Colon. Cabled advice has been received by the Shaw Savill Company that the Pakeha cleared Colon last Friday morning. She left Wanganui on March 20 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow via the Panama Canal. Remuera at Suva The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cabled advice that its liner Remuera, from London, reached Suva on Saturday morning. She left there yesterday m ning for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, and is due here on April 28,

Mataroa Clears Colon The Shaw Savill Compan.- has received cabled advice that its liner Mataroa cleared Colon last Friday.
