Sunshine to date last year—493.ohrs. IN OTHER CENTRES Christchurch: Yesterday was fine and warm with light cloud in the early morning. There was a slight to moderate south-west wind throughout the day. The maximum temperature was 71.3 degrees. The barometer at 5 p.m. recorded 29.68 inches and was falling slowly. Geraldine: Dull and overcast.
Teinuka: Yesterday was dull and overcast with a light south-east wind. The maximum temperature was 62 degrees and the minimum 45. The glass was falling last evening. W'aimate (for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday): Barometer, 29.3; thermometer, maximum 65, minimum 48; sunshine, nil; wind gauge, miles run in last 24 hours, 42. Yesterday was overcast and cool, with light rain falling at intervals throughout the day.
Dunedin: There was a thick mist on the hills yesterday morning and gentle rain fell throughout the day. The weather continued mild and calm. Tire maximum temperature was 69 degrees. The barometer fell sharply after midday and read 29.85 inches last evening.
