REGISTER OF RESERVISTS PROCEEDING

The South African Defence Department in a statement says: “The registration of a Class A citizen force of reservists is proceeding. This is the first step towards a more comprehensive registration scheme, the features of which are the extension of compulsory registration ot all citizens below forty-five, the compilation of a national reserve of all between seventeen and sixty, and the recording of all whose normal occupations may be regarded in war time as key positions.”
