ORARI BRIDGE

PERSONAL Miss Betty Woodley (Christchurch), who was the guest of Miss M. Pratt has returned home. Miss Joyce Ford, accompanied by Miss Elsie Greenaway, who is visiting Blenheim is expected home this week. Mrs M. Markham Burke, has left on a visit to Christchurch. Mrs F. Pratt is on a motor tour and will visit Queenstown and the Southern Lakes. Mr and Mrs Allan South are visiting Christchurch. BASKETBALL CLUB At the annual meeting of the Orari Bridge Basketball Club, the report and balance-sheet were read and adopted the credit balance of £7/7/- being considered very satisfactory. It w'as decided to leave the subscription at 2/6, a reduction to be made in the case of more than one member from the same family. The buying of material for new uniforms was discussed and it was left to the secretary and captain to ascertain what materials were procurable. A vote of thanks was accorded the school committee for the use of the school courts.
