TERRIFIC EXPLOSIONS AT WOOLWICH SHEDS SWEPT BY FIRE United Press Association —Bv Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 24, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON. March 24. Troops were hastily called out to guard Woolwich arsenal early this morning, following a series of terrific explosions, due to the bursting of oxygen cylinders in a medical store shed of the Royal Military College of Science, near Woolwich Common. The shed caught lire and was completely destroyed, but no other buildings were involved. The firemen had narrow escapes from flying metal.
