Further Series of Exercises Commencing Monday Tire following further series of physical exercises will be broadcast from the YA stations commencing on Monday:— SERIES VI. Exercise I: Attention. Count 1: Hop on the right foot, slightly bending the knee, stretch the left leg out side ways to touch floor with toes, and at the same time raise the raise the right arm forward. Count 2: With a hop change the position of the feet and arms.

Exercise II: Feet astride —lean the body well forward and hollow the back—arms hanging loose and cross the wrists with hand lightly clenched. Count 1: Keeping the body bent forward turn the trunk and swing the left arm sideways and as far up as it will go—look at the hand. Count 2: Swing the left arm down and the right sideways and up turning the body as you do so and look at the right hand.

Exercise III: Back lying—arms sideways. Count 1: Pressing down with the hands bend the knees well up and raise the head and shoulders forcing the head forward to touch head to knees. Count 2: Relax flat on the floor again.

Feet astride—left hand on hip—right hand about six inches above the head—“S” position. Count 1: Bend the body over to the left, at the same time bend the right knee outwards. Count 2: Swing the body over .3 the opposite position changing the hands at the same time.

Exercise V: Attention—arms upward bend. Count 1: Bend the body down to touch floor with fingers. Count 2: Body upright arms upward bend.

Exercise VI: With knees together, kneel down—sit back on heels, clasp the hands behind the back, and bending forward touch the forehead to the knees. Count 1: Sitting back on the heels, stretch the body forward and upward, head backward bend, at the same time pull the shoulders back by stretching the arms backward. Count 2: Resume the starting position by slowly relaxing all the muscles employed.

Exercise VII: Attention arms forward raise palms inwards. Count 1: Breathing in slowly part the arms to sideways stretch position and at the same time press the head back. Count 2: Breathing out, head upward stretch and swing the arms to forward raise.
