WRIT RESENTED

APPEAL TO COURTS IN AFRICA United press Association—‘By Electric Telegraph—Copyright JOHANNESBURG, February 23. The Supreme Court reserved its decision on application by Charles Bedaux for setting aside the writ of attachment against him. Bedaux applied for a refund of his security and costs, on the grounds that Robert McChesney must have known that there was no foundation for his suspicions; that he was not deprived of shares, and must have realised the harm that the proceedings would do Bedaux. It was reported last week that a Court order had been issued attaching the person of Charles Bedaux, an American efficiency expert, and a friend of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

The order was issued on the application of Robert McChesney, a former manager of the Bedaux Company of Africa, to recover £2EOO of the company’s stock, allegedly held by Bedaux, or the company.

Bedaux was released after giving a security.
