ALUMINIUM FROM CLAY
After the conclusion of laboratory experiments carried out during the last 18 months, a leading German aluminium producer has begun constructional work on a large-scale plant for the production of aluminium from domestic clay. Work in this factory will still be largely experimental, but the capacity (8,000 tons of aluminium a year) shows that great hopes are entertained for the new process.
