VETERINARY SCHOLARSHIPS By Telegraph- Press Association WELLINGTON. February 23. Three veterinary scholarships at the Sydney University Veterinary College have been granted this year by the New Zealand Government. The names oi the students selected were announced today by the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin. They are. Selwyn L. Niederer, Invercargill. lan M. Cairney. Ravensbourne, Dunedin. Walter Mills, Paeroa. They will leave for Sydney by the Awatea on March 6 to commence a course of training for the veterinary profession. All of them have qualifications which entitle them to the remission of the first year’s course, thus reducing the full course from five to four years.
