MALTA’S HEAVY BURDEN OF TAXATION Onited Press Association —By Electric Telegraph —Copyright MALTA, February 22. All the former Senators and former members of the Assembly have signed a memorial which the former Speaker is submitting to the Governor for presentation to His Majesty the King protesting against the promulgation of ordinances increasing property and corporation taxes. This is the first time in the history of Malta that taxation has been imposed without representation. The leaders ot all parties have signed the memorial. The new Constitution is being proclaimed on Saturday.
