Such fame has been achieved by Miss Joyce Fyfe as a ‘model for fashion photographs that Baron G. HoyningenHuene, famous photographer who visited Sydney at the end of 1936, wired to her three times last year to go over to Paris and pose for him. Miss Fyfe, who was born in Melbourne, has been photo ■ £ 'aphed by Cecil Beaton, De Molas, and Andre Horst; but before becoming a photographer’s model she was one of the most sought-after mannequins in London. She is exceptionally tall, sft lOJln, and it is due to her mother chat her height became an asset. Her mother trained her to straighten her shoulders and tilt her head instead of stooping in an attempt to bring herself to the size of smaller women. Now that Miss Fyfe has given up her career as a mannequin in favour of photographic work, she only appears as a mannequin for charity or at some of the big far shows. Recently, at a charity fasnivii parade at Claridge’s in London, the Queen bought three frocks which aad been worn by Miss Fyfe.
