Mr J. A. Lee, Parliamentary Undersecretary ta Charge of Housing, .announced to-day that Cabinet had approved of contracts for housing as follows:—Dargaville, C. Morse, four single-house units; Mt. Albert, Auckland, A. H .Beamish, 11 single-house units; New Lynn, H. J. Hulse, two single-house units; Morrinsville, C. R. Smith, one two-house unit; Ngaruaawahia, F. R. Cahir, three single-house units; Rotorua, Lee Bros., nine singlehouse units and one two-house unit; Shannon ,E. J. S. Spencer, five stogiehouse units: Hastings, Dixon and Greig, 35 toolsheds and eight garages; Gisborne, Warren and Heeney, one two-house unit and two single-house units; Lower Hutt, Wellington. D. Daily, one three-house concrete unit, R .J. Elder, two single-house units, R. L. Christie, one single-house unit; Riccarton, Christchurch, William Brunt, nine single-house units and three twohouse units; Temuka, L. S. Ward, 12 single-house units; Oamaru, Maynard and Armstrong, 15 tool sheds.
