Four Auckland Cup candidates—The Buzzer, Tidewaiter, Happy Landing and The Bigot—are engaged in the Bolton Handicap at Woodville, but entry lists for other holiday meetings suggest that The Buzzer will be the only one of the quartette to go to Ellerslie. The Buzzer was beaten at Woodville last year but he then had 8.10. compared with 7.0 at Auckland. To-day he has only 31b above his Auckland Cup weight, and should win if he has any chance at Ellerslie.
