PROFESSIONAL OFFER REFUSED HELEN WILLS MOODY’S PLANS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 8, 7.50 p.m.) LOS ANGELES, December 8. Mrs Helen Wills Moody announced that she declined an offer of approximately 100,000 dollars to turn professional and intimated that she was prepared to carry out another international tour in 1939 on behalf of the United States Lawn Tennis Association if the latter desires. Otherwise she did not expect to play any more competitive tennis.
