RECORD RAINFALL
SAMOAN VILLAGE WASHED AWAY United Press Association —Bx c.i-'iric Telegraph —Copvright (Received December 4, 6.30 p.m.) APIA, December 4. A heavy rainfall of 33 1-3 inches, the biggest on record for the month of November, was experienced here. Advices from Savaii report that the village of Avad, on the north coast, was washed out and the natives were forced ot seek shelter at other villages. The Earl and Countess Beatty and party, who were four days out on a trip around Savaii, were held up by floods and weather conditions.
