UNOFFICIAL VISIT
MR EDEN BOUND FOR UNITED STATES British Official Wireless (Received December 4, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, December 3. Mr Anthony Eden sailed to-day for the United States where he will fulfil a number of speaking engagements, and in the course of the visit, which is of an entirely unofficial character, is expected to see President Roosevelt. The Foreign Secretary (Lord Halifax) made reference in the House of Lords to Mr Eden’s visit which he said was welcomed by his Majesty's Government.
