Revived “Terror” of Iron Guards Purge Carried Out In Rumania Destruction of Houses and Workshops United Press Association—By Electric Tel egraph —Copyrlgh t (Received December 2, 6.30 p.m.) BUCHAREST, December 1. Iron Guards set fire to ten houses and workshops at Czernowitz. Two were arrested. The Government organ “Rumania” indicates that the shooting of M. Codreanu culminated the purge which has been conducted, by the political police throughout the country 'or several weeks. It is stated that “this painful operation was necessary in view of the revived terror of the former Iron Guards, which berame a constant threat to public order.”
