CHANGES SOUGHT
RAILWAY HEADS TO MEET MINISTER OF TRANSPORT British Official Wireless (Received December 2, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, December 1. There is to be a discussion next Thursday between the Minister of Transport (Mr E. Leslie Burgin) and the chairmen and general managers of the four main railway companies about the proposals of the companies for the repeal of the existing statutory regulation of charges for the conveyance of merchandise and traffic by railway. In the meantime there is to be an Informal discussion to-day between the general managers and officials at the Ministry.
