GLASSWORKERS’ DISPUTE By Telegraph —Pres? Association AUCKLAND, November 4 After hearing the report of a lengthy conference held under the chairmanship of Mr W. Slaughter, officer in charge of the Department of Labour, the 150 men involved in the glassworkers dispute at Penrose returned to work to-day. The agreement is only temporary to give the Arbitration Court time to issue the award terms of a temporary agreement to Include an annual holiday of a week for workers on weekly wages, an increase in wages to certain sections of hands and youths. Representatives of the Federation of Labour, who attended the conference, promised to use their influence to obtain an early consideration of the award by the Arbitration Court.
