As Mike and Smoke are gossiping they gasp and turn and stare, For Horace Hare has passed them by with absent-minded air.
They often see him after that in very earnest talk With Desmond Duck and Seagull Sam and Mr. Sparrow-Hawk.
And when one day they see him go walking down the street In most unusual clothing, the mystery is complete.
Most stealthily they follow till the Aero Club they reach. When he goes through the “Members’ Door,” they’re both bereft of speech.
