SHIPPING PORT OF TIMARU

Only One Vessel Calls Only one vessel, the Wingatui, called at Timaru yesterday. The Wingatui arrived last night and will load to-day for Wellington and Auckland. No vessels are due to arrive to-day but the Port Whangarei will load for the North on Saturday. ARRIVAL November 3 Wingatui, s.s„ 2378 tons (J. R. Ritchie) from Oamaru. (Union Steam Ship Company.) COaSTAL vessels Listed Movements The Wingatui, from Dunedin, arrived to load for Wellington and Auckland and will sail to-day for Lyttelton. ! The Waimarino, from Dunedin, is now due on Tuesday, and will load for Wellington and Auckland, via Lyttelton. The Waipahi, from Oamaru, is expected on Tuesday to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth, via Lyttelton. Due on Wednesday from Oamaru. the Wainui will load for Welling“"n, Napier and Gisborne, via Lyttelton. The Waiana, from Dunedin, is due on November 13, and will load the following day for Wellington and Auckland, via Lyttelton. Due on November 16, from Dunedin to continue discharge of Australian cargo, from Eden, Sydney and Hobart. The Kauri will complete unloading at Lyttelton. The Holmlea is now expected from Dunedin on Monday to load for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Waikato Heads, via Lyttelton. The Port Whangarei is expected tomorrow to load for Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarei, via Lyttelton. The Holmdale is due from Oamaru on Monday to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, via Lyttelton. The Breeze, from Oamaru, is now due on Monday to load for Wellington and Wanganui, via Lyttelton The Gale, from Dunedin, is expected on Thursday to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, via Lyttelton. Cumberland Clears Balboa Cabled advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Cumberland, en route from Liverpool to Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, cleared Balboa last Wednesday. She 's due at Auckland on November 17. Mataroa’s Final Date The Shaw Savill and Albion liner Mataroa is now to sail finally from Auckland at noon to-morrow lor Southampton and London via Panama. New Dutch Liner The Royal de Schelde shipyard at Flushing is to build an engine for the Rotte-dam Lloyd a twin-screw motor passenger liner with a speed of 21 knots. Accommodation will be provided for 723 passengers—first, second, third and fourth. The main propelling machinery will be of Sulzer type, built under license, and will develop 27,000 b.h.p. Her high speed will shorten the Rotterdam Lloyd’s schedules on Marseilles and Sabang being reduced the Far East route, the run between to 13 days and 16 days between the French port and Batavia.
