THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WOOL SEASON.
Pastoralists and all interested in the wool industry generally are watching the movements of commodity markets with hopeful feelings. It is interesting to note therefore that estimates of production for the chief exporting countries during the 1938-39 season suggest that the aggregate output will be somewhat reduced. The higher stocks at present in first hands, therefore, will supplement Uys deficiency, and, on the basis of present indications, supplies available for sale during 1938-39 should show little change. It is difficult at the moment to forecast the trend of the market, but so far no violent fluctuations have occurred that Would suggest anything but normal selling conditions in Australia and New Zealand this year.
