WET WEATHER PAY
ORGANISED WORKERS’ REQUESTS By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, November 2 A decision to make representations to the Minister of Labour concerning wet weather pay and workers on subsidised jobs, was reached at the annual conference in Wellington of the reorganised New Zealand Federation of Local Badies’ employees, builders, contractors and general workers. The requests to be placed before the Minister are: “That ail works outside the Public Works agreement should be covered by our local bodies’ awards and conditions; that in view of the fact that local authorities and private institutions are being paid 100 per cent from the employment promotion funds, workers so employed should lose no time through wet weather.”
