September License Figures Increase Over 10 Per Cent. Motor registration compiled by the Registrar of motor-vehicles for the end of the second licensing quarter of the year show that on September 30, motor-vehicles licensed in the Dominion totalled 265,137, which represents an increase of nearly eleven per cent, on the numbers at the corresponding period of last year. The September qua.rter is not the most active period for registration and there are many dormant vehicles in the register in respect of which licensing will probably be effected later in the year. The peak point of road operation for the Dominion’s motor fleet is usually reached in the fourth quarter— January-March. An interesting point in the above table is that the decrease in numbers of motor-cycles applies almost uniformly throughout the Dominion.
