The Securities Exchange Commission after a conference with officials of the New York Stock Exchange, announced a thorough revision of the Stock Exchange regulations, designed to make it impossible for any repetition of the Whitney scandal. The revision will include increased capital requirements, ban on loans from members of the exchange to officials and a system of surprise audits.
