THE HEALTH STAMP CAMPAIGN.

It is gratifying to learn that the committee responsible for the health stamp campaign have been encouraged by renewed generosity on the part of the public, who are readily using the 2d health stamp, which yields a contribution of half its cost to the funds of various health eamps throughout New Zealand. Already, although the health stamp campaign has been in progress only three weeks, no fewer than 388,989 health stamps have been sold. These sales have yielded £1620 to the fund, and this, added to the contributions already received, has raised the sum in hand past the £2OOO mark. In South Canterbury, an energetic and enthusiastic committee has been working for some years in organising and conducting health camps and the voices of thankfulness and appreciation have been raised in praise of work already accomplished. The only limitations so far placed on the camp organisers have been in relation to finance; indeed, there is no lack of voluntary workers to man the camps and care for children who are in need of treatment and direction. Hence the gratitude being expressed that this year’s health stamp campaign is being so generously supported by all sections of the community.
