A warning that agriculture throughout Canada was faced with ruination unless the wheat marketing problem is solved, was given Mr J. C. Taggart, Minister of Agriculture, in Saskatchewan. The Minister predicted that wheat growers would likely be compelled to enter mixed farming on a large scale, with disastrous results. The Premier (Mr Bracken) said: “The talk that prairie farmers could save themselves by mixed farming was nonsense.”
