All Saints, Waimataitai, are celebrating their Patronal Festival on Tuesday. The services are advertised and a social will follow the evening service, at which the Rev. I. Hopkins will be the preacher.

Particulars of excursion fares and train arrangements in connection with the Ashburton Show on November 3, and the Christchurch Show and races from November 5 to 12, are announced by the Railway Department in this issue.

The Timaru Scottish Society’s weekly dance on Saturday night in the Scottish Hall attracted a large crowd, including many visiters. The winners of novelty dances were the recipients of useful prizes.
