Miss Bourn, Christchurch, is staying with Miss Harte, Wai-itl Road.
Mr and Mrs R. B. Hart have returned to Timaru from a holiday in England and the Continent.
Mrs Derrick Orbell, “Balmoral,” Mackenzie Country, who has been staying with Mrs W. H. Orbell, The Levels, returned home on Friday. Mrs D. C. Macfarlane, “Mt. Paul,” Walau, who has been staying with her uncle, Mr C. Miller, Woodbury, has returned home.
The Misses Amy and May Oliver, “Surrey Downs,” Pleasant Point, who have been on a visit to England and the Continent are expected home tomorrow.
Miss Mabel Orbell, England, who has been spending some weeks with Mrs J. M. Ritchie, Dunedin, will arrive tomorrow to stay with Mrs W. H. Orbell, The Levels.
Miss Jean Horwell, Kitchener Square, has returned from a visit to the North Island where she took part in the New Zealand Women’s golf championship and the Heretaunga golf tournament.
The engagement is announced of Margaret Ann, eldest daughter of Mian dMrs J. Cassie, of Guide Hill, Lake and Bernard Leslie Gilbert, only child of Mr and Mrs G. Redway, of Glen-iti, Timaru.
